Aussie grassfed tri tip can be used in a variety of recipes when marinated in soy sauce and lightly grilled. Wrap it in tortillas, serve it over rice, or toss it with salad greens and roasted vegetables.

Ingredients

Portion size: 4 oz. beef

1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 teaspoons, plus extra for garnish soy sauce
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 pounds Australian grassfed tri tip
Chili paste as needed

Preparation

In a small bowl, combine the salt, soy sauce, pepper, garlic, and oil and massage them into the tri tip. Let it marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature. Fifteen minutes before cooking, preheat the grill to HIGH heat (500 degrees F). Grill the tri tip, fat-side down, for 25 to 30 minutes, turning every 7 to 8 minutes, until it reaches an internal temperature of 135 to 140 degrees F. Let the tri tip rest for 10 minutes off the heat before slicing it. Serve immediately, drizzled with additional soy sauce and chili paste, if desired.
